"SHERHIT" - Kharkiv music community in Druk

Sherhit is an independent Kharkiv community of DJs, musicians, VJs and everyone who explores sound and visual art. It unites those who strive to develop, share experiences and create culture together.

‍The community's residents play in such directions as rave, happy hard-core, trance, trance techno, electro, ghettotech, neurofunk. Representatives of the creative association describe themselves as follows:

"We don't have teachers or students - we all learn from each other. It's not how "professional" you are, but how passionate you are about what you do. We regularly gather for training, where everyone can play their own sets, experiment with live performances, discuss music, break through technical and creative barriers. If necessary, we will record a performance, give feedback or just enjoy the process together.

Our main goal is to introduce the culture of electronic music and visual art not only to a narrow circle of "our own", but to make it accessible to everyone. We want to destroy the outdated impression that a club or a party is only about dancing. For us, the dance floor is a space where you come not "in a daze", but to relax, find new meanings, get to know music, people, yourself.

We work on open events - on the street, in cultural spaces, sometimes in completely unexpected places. Our events are an attempt to create a different idea of what the electronic scene looks like. We often collaborate with visual artists, so Sherhit events are not only about sound, but also about atmosphere, aesthetics and experience.

An important part of our activities are open rehearsals, which are attended not only by DJs, but also by those who are interested in music, want to simply listen, observe, share impressions or feel like a part of the process. We believe that it is in such interaction that a living culture is born.

We call ourselves a community, because this is not just a “party for interests” - it is a place where everyone can express themselves, learn, offer their idea, and most importantly - be a part of the process.
